INTERN WANTED (Summer/Fall 2016)
Perfect Pitch Media Group, LLC, an Atlanta based boutique public relations and media consulting firm is looking for a 2016 summer & fall intern. The intern must have some basic knowledge of the public relations and communication field. It’s essential that applicants to this position are self-starters. They must have excellent communication skills, demonstrate creativity, and understand the importance of attending to the smallest details. They must be well versed in Microsoft Excel.
· Monitor all forms of media, stay abreast to current news
· Engage in social media platforms and how to use it for newsgathering and public relation purposes
· Schedule and coordinate speaking engagements, appearances, photo shoots, and other special events
· Write basic press releases and other printed materials
· Assist with media pitching and coordinating guests for media broadcasts
· Screen phone calls
· Research and compile media contact lists
· Search for press clippings
· Create and update media databases in Excel
· Create PowerPoint presentations
Students applying for this internship must have strong verbal communication skills and should be majoring in Public Relations, Communications, or Journalism. Applicants should be a rising junior or senior in college and possess strong writing skills, as well as a solid understanding of social media. Only students proficient with Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office applications should apply. Interns will have access to office computers but students applying must have a laptop as well.
This is an UNPAID internship, only college credit offered. You must be able to start on May 15, 2016 and work in the office a minimum of 10 hours a week and telecommute as well. Total hours per week 15-20.

Part time Job opening for local student or recent graduate
Information Technology resources – http://informationtechnologyresources.org is seeking a student to create review abstracts for technical books. This is an easy work from dorm or home job. You must be a college student or recent graduate. You will work with me for 2 days per week for 2-3 weeks to learn the tasks of creating review abstracts. You will also be doing review requests. I will give you a set of specifications each week and you will look up the book title and publicity email contact and enter this data in an online data entry form from your home. You are paid for your work during the training period.
For the review abstracts I will email you a list of book titles and you look up the books on the publishers web site. you then enter the book title and the first couple of paragraphs on our review web site at the above link. I will give you an author ID and password to my review web sites. This is basically just a cut and paste type of job. I will pay you $.75 for each review abstract. After an initial training period you can be earning $15 – $18 per hour since it only takes about 2-3 minutes per review abstract to create. It takes a similar amount of time to do a book review request and you will also be paid $.75 for each review request you complete according to my specifications.
You will be doing about 100 – 200 review requests per week and about 30 review abstracts per week.
