JOB DESCRIPTION: Looking for intern(s) to work 20 hours per week. Days and shifts can be adjusted based on school schedules. What we do – cover Cobb County high school sports, Kennesaw State athletics (focus on football), along with Life University. Assignments will include, but not be limited to, covering KSU football, high school football on Friday nights, preview stories and features. There will also be opportunities for video and photography work.
QUALIFICATIONS NEEDED: The ability/willingness to learn how to write clean and on deadline. Video and social media skills a definite plus.

Communication Intern/Volunteer Opportunity
Cobb County DOT is seeking an ambitious intern/volunteer to assist with its widespread communication activities. From social media development to public relations writing, the intern/volunteer will support the DOT communications team and take ownership of his or her own projects. This is an unpaid opportunity.
The Cobb DOT communication intern will have a meaningful effect on Cobb DOT projects and public outreach through tasks including, but not limited to:
- Creating engaging social media content
- Developing creative video content
- Writing content for web and/or newsletters
- Building the DOT media library
- Brainstorming new ideas to enhance DOT communications
In addition to supporting the communication for the DOT’s multi-million dollar projects, the intern will take ownership of special communication projects and build his or her portfolio with quality pieces.
The internship time commitment is negotiable, dependent on whether the internship will be used for course credit. Ideal applicants are students pursuing a degree in communications, public relations, graphic design or related fields. He or she must be reliable and ready to contribute new ideas.
